The Growth Company is preparing to bid for a competitive tender to run Phase Two of the Jobs Guarantee Scheme in South Yorkshire and Merseyside. 

Backed by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), the scheme forms part of the wider Youth Guarantee, which is designed to address rising youth unemployment and contribute to the UK’s economic growth.

The Jobs Guarantee provides funded six-month paid work for young people aged 18 to 24, allowing employers to grow their teams and help people in their communities gain meaningful work experience.

What is the Jobs Guarantee?

  • Who: 18–24-year-olds on Universal Credit for 18 months or more
  • What: 6-month paid work placement (25 hours/week), meaning no wage cost to the employer
  • Cost: Fully funded wage costs (National Minimum Wage)
  • Support: Simple onboarding process and wraparound support from the Growth Company

Jobs Guarantee Phase Two FAQs

Jobs Guarantee (Phase Two) is a DWP‑backed employment programme offering funded six‑month paid roles for eligible 18–24‑year‑olds on Universal Credit, helping employers create sustainable job opportunities.

Employers can register an expression of interest for Jobs Guarantee Phase Two by completing the above form, with no obligation to proceed until roles and funding are agreed.
