Manchester City Council, together with the Growth Company, Citizens Advice Bureau and Jobcentre Plus has set up the Manchester Employment Support Partnership, to provide support and assistance to residents and employers whose jobs have been affected by COVID-19.

The partnership will provide help and support, such as, employment opportunities, training, advice, guidance to residents who have been furloughed, are in the process of being made redundant or are newly unemployed.

If you have been affected, we want to help you - simply fill in the online registration form  https://www.manchester.gov.uk/info/100008/work_jobs_training_and_advice/7994/request_support and a member of the friendly team will contact you for an informal chat to get you started.

We’ll help to put you in touch with advisors that can provide you with the help and support most relevant to you and your situation.

Employers can also get support with upskilling staff, offering work placements or having to make redundancies, alongside recruiting new workers and taking on apprentices - there is a range of support available to you and your staff.

You can also contact the Partnership by emailing business@manchester.gov.uk . Please write “Employment support” in the subject header of your email.

Please provide:

your name
your employer’s name
address and postcode of employer
explain what support you might be looking for
They will also get in touch for an informal chat and can refer you to one of the delivery partners.

For more information and to get involved, you can find more details and registration forms here: https://www.manchester.gov.uk/info/100008/work_jobs_training_and_advice/7994/request_support
