Successful Refugee Employability Programme to Conclude in Yorkshire and Humber

• The Growth Company (GC) delivers the Home Office Refugee Employability Programme (REP) across Yorkshire and the Humber.
• The programme aims to help refugees into sustained employment through individually tailored support.
• After a year of success, REP will not be extended beyond June 2025, with the final day for referrals set for 11th December 2024. 

The Refugee Employability Programme Yorkshire and the Humber contract will not be extended and the final day for referrals will be 11th December 2024.

The team will continue to support service users until 11th June 2025, when the programme will end.

The Growth Company, in partnership with Migrant Help, has successfully delivered the Refugee Employability Programme since September 2023.

During this time, our organisations have onboarded over 1,100 refugees, supporting more than 250 service users from 47 different nationalities into employment.

This figure includes full-time, part-time, and apprenticeship roles, such as early years practitioners, integration officers, software engineers, barbers, and pharmacists.

Commissioned by the Home Office and delivered by the Growth Company, the Refugee Employability Programme helps refugees into work through tailored employability sessions, English language tuition, vocational training, job application assistance, and community integration support.
