The Growth Company has been shortlisted at the 2024 commsHERO Awards.

The awards celebrate individuals and teams in the marketing community who have demonstrated innovation and excellence across the communications sector.

Our very own Director of Strategic Partnerships and External Projects, Naomi Ilagoswa (pictured above), has been nominated in the ‘You Don’t Have to Work in Comms to be a commsHERO’ category.

Congratulations also go to GC’s Stephanie Boyle, who was nominated for ‘The Comms Unicorn of the Year’ and Lynette Grindley, who was recognised in the ‘Unsung Hero’ list.

The organisation’s communications and marketing team (us!), meanwhile, appeared in the ‘Team of the Year’ segment.

Reflecting on her achievement, Naomi said: “I'm delighted to have been nominated for a commsHERO award.

“I have exceptional colleagues who have made it so easy to have a passion for comms despite it not being my day job!”

The Growth Company’s Executive Director of Corporate Affairs and Marketing, Carla Nuttall, added: “It’s an amazing achievement to be shortlisted for not just one, but four commsHERO Awards, including Team of the Year.

“It's recognition for the hard work and creativity of our entire team and their commitment and positivity in supporting each other and our wider colleagues across the Growth Company.

“I couldn't be more proud of the team and everyone shortlisted. I look forward to celebrating at the awards ceremony later in the year.”

The awards ceremony will take place at Horizon Leeds on 17th October, directly after the commsHERO 2024 Conference.
