Wellness in Work Individual Placement & Support (IPS)

The Wellness in Work Individual Placement and Support (IPS) service supports Greater Manchester residents with a severe and enduring mental illness diagnosis, helping them to find paid employment or sustain their current job.

This service will help residents by:

Giving them access to a dedicated employment specialist who can work with the individual and local employers.
Providing ongoing support once starting a new job.
Supporting return to work after a long period of absence.
Supporting individuals who are at risk of losing their jobs, as well as their employers.
Signposting to specialist services.

We tailor our programme to meet the needs of the individual and work with relevant health professionals to ensure our service is complementary to any treatment they may already be receiving.

Working with employers

We work closely with employers to unlock potential from a rich talent pool of individuals, supporting local communities and helping businesses to diversify the workforce. Our expert team can:

Help identify candidates for roles available.
Support employers whose team members are away from work due to mental ill health or are at risk of experiencing it.
Provide guidance on team members who may be returning to work following a break from the business due to mental illness.
Signpost to services that can support approaches to team mental ill health and awareness.
