GCE REP IEP 2024 Nominees
  • The Growth Company’s contribution to the employment support sector continues to be recognised by industry leaders.
  • Aspire Recruitment has been shortlisted at the REC (Recruitment & Employment Confederation) Awards.
  • United For Ukraine has been nominated for an IEP (Institute for Employability Professionals) Learning Award.

The Growth Company’s employment support teams have been shortlisted for two more awards.

Aspire Recruitment has been nominated in the Community Impact of the Year category at the 2024 REC Awards, which celebrate the best in UK recruitment, recognising both individual achievement and company-wide success.

Meanwhile, United For Ukraine colleague Okszana Nepijvoda has picked up a nomination for Learning Impact of the Year at the IEP Learning Awards 2024, which honour frontline practitioners and first-line managers who have qualified through IEP learning or supported IEP learners.

Aspire Recruitment

The Community Impact of the Year Award is given to the recruitment business best able to demonstrate how it achieves a balance of economic, environmental, and social imperatives while at the same time engaging with stakeholders and staff alike.

It is fair to say that Aspire Recruitment ticks all these boxes.

Aspire is a Growth Company service designed to help businesses attract and retain best-in-class talent from a diverse range of backgrounds – creating a productive workforce and opportunities for all.

For over 20 years, the team has been committed to transforming businesses and helping candidates find meaningful employment, while focusing on social value.

Reflecting on the news, the organisation’s business development manager, Frank Kinrade, said: “Our team is passionate about people, driven to help companies recruit diverse talent, and committed to creating inclusive workspaces that make a real difference.

“This nomination is a testament to the hard work and dedication we put into empowering individuals and transforming businesses.”

The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony in London on 21st November.

United For Ukraine

The Learning Impact of the Year award recognises learners who have successfully applied newly acquired knowledge and skills to their job role, positively impacting key stakeholders and overcoming obstacles and challenges along the way.

Again, Okszana fulfils all these criteria. She has been a key worker for United For Ukraine since 2022, providing information, advice, and guidance on employment and employability to Ukrainian refugees in the Ukrainian language.

United For Ukraine supports Ukrainians across the North of England. As part of their efforts, the team provide essential services, from assistance with CVs and the English language to advice on job searches and career development.

The campaign has directly engaged with more than 5,000 people and 200 employers. Even more impressive, 600 participants have started new jobs through the programme.

Reacting to her nomination, Okszana commented: “I am delighted that my work, the work of United For Ukraine, and the Ukrainian community in the United Kingdom have all been recognised by the IEP.”

The winner will be revealed on 10th October at the IEP Basecamp event in Birmingham.
