The Restart Scheme hosts first Employer event in Rotherham
- Tuesday, November 8, 2022
The end of October saw our Restart Scheme team host their first Employers event at the Unity Community Centre in Rotherham, in partnership with Rotherfed, Offploy and Endorphins. The event was a great opportunity for our Restart Scheme participants to network with a range of high calibre employers (including Amazon, Aspire, GAP Personnel, McDonalds, RGIS, Trust Education and Utilita) and find out more information about any possible roles that are vacant in their organisations.
Over the 4, hour-long sessions, 106 Restart Scheme participants attended and many of these participants expressed an interest in at least 1 job role on offer. These expressions of interest were quickly followed up by one of our Employer Engagement Consultants. As the next month develops, we will begin to see more statistics about who has gone into employment following this Jobs Fair.
Billie Kemp, Partnership & Integration Manager, said:
“Our first Restart Scheme Employer & Partner Event was a huge success, we had so many local Rotherham residents attending to understand what sustainable employment opportunities are available to them. It was also really positive to be able to provide them with local organisations that can support them with the rise in cost of living. This event will be the first of many more to come! “
The event was a huge success and the team have received some very positive feedback from both the participants and employers who were in attendance. Due to the successes, the team are now looking to hold another Employer Event on a quarterly basis.
