United for Ukraine Shortlisted for a CIPR 2023 PRide Award

• The Growth Company (GC) has been shortlisted at the CIPR 2023 PRide Awards (North West)
• The United for Ukraine initiative has been nominated for best Not-for-Profit Campaign in the North West.
• The awards ceremony will take place at The Edwardian, Manchester, on 30th November.

The Growth Company has been shortlisted at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) 2023 PRide Awards.

The awards celebrate benchmark UK public relations campaigns and projects delivered by a range of practitioners – from digital marketing agencies and advertising firms to in-house communications teams and freelancers.  

Our United for Ukraine initiative has been nominated in the North West region Not-for-Profit Campaign category, which recognises individuals and organisations who have made a difference in the world of charity and social value.

The nomination comes just weeks after the initiative won the Employment and Skills Award at the Sheffield Community Awards.

United for Ukraine

Formed in April 2022, United for Ukraine is a coalition of business stakeholders from across the North of England supporting Ukrainian refugees arriving in the UK. The initiative is focused on a digital platform, created by the Growth Company, which connects employers with evacuees.

A campaign was created by the coalition to raise awareness of the support being offered to Ukrainian refugees in the country. Thanks to the awareness campaign, United for Ukraine has supported thousands of Ukrainians in the North, including in Greater Manchester, Lancashire, and Merseyside.  

Due to the campaign, keyworkers received a ‘Special Honour’ and media coverage at the ‘Northern Power Women’ awards earlier this year for outstanding dedication.

Further Recognition for Important Work

Responding to the news, the Growth Company’s Partnership and Integrations Manager, Timothy Jeffrey, said: “We are thrilled that United For Ukraine has been shortlisted for another accolade – especially one conferred by such a prestigious organisation.

“While helping people is a reward in and of itself, it is always welcome to learn that our team’s efforts have been recognised by respected professional bodies and peers.”  

The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony held at The Edwardian, Manchester, on 30th November.
