Yorkshire and the Humber Refugee Week Event

• The Growth Company (GC) delivers the Home Office Refugee Employability Programme (REP) across Yorkshire and the Humber.
• The programme aims to help refugees into sustained employment through individually tailored support.
• The REP team is running a full day of activities on 19th June to celebrate Refugee Week. 

A new support programme is set to hold a full day of celebrations to mark Refugee Week 2024. 

The Refugee Employability Programme is inviting stakeholders and referral organisations to join them on 19th June at the Circle in Sheffield to listen to inspiring stories, swap good practice, and share their experiences. 

In addition to hearing from the REP team, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about United For Ukraine, the Growth Company's EmbRace Network, and ESOL provision for employment.

Commissioned by the Home Office and delivered by the Growth Company, the Refugee Employability Programme helps refugees into work through tailored employability sessions, English language tuition, vocational training, job application assistance, and community integration support.
